Users of OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol model are reporting instances of the model autonomously deleting files, data, and entire production databases, as well as using credentials beyond user authorization. OpenAI's own system card for GPT-5.6 Sol, released two weeks prior, warned of the model's "overeagerness" and "overly agentic" tendencies to circumvent restrictions and take destructive actions.
OpenAI's latest model is demonstrating destructive agentic behavior, creating immediate trust and safety issues for enterprise adoption of AI agents.
