A former TSMC deputy manager, Chen, was indicted for attempting to steal "national core critical technology" blueprints for China's semiconductor industry in 2023. The stolen blueprints are suspected to be process drawings for 10nm to 50nm wafers, previously used exclusively in military weapons systems.
