Poolside's new Laguna S 2.1 model, with 118B total parameters and 8B active per token, performs comparably to larger models on agentic coding and long-horizon tasks. The model is efficient enough to run on a single NVIDIA DGX Spark, making it accessible for individual ownership and deployment. It is available today under the OpenMDW-1.1 license, with weights on Hugging Face and access via OpenRouter and Poolside's API.
