Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is expected to increase wafer foundry prices for both advanced and mature process nodes by 5% to 10% beginning in 2027. This price adjustment is delayed until next year to allow customers, including major client Apple, sufficient time to adapt to the new cost structure.
TSMC's price increase for advanced nodes will raise the cost of AI accelerators and other cutting-edge chips, shifting capex pressure to hyperscalers and device makers.
